Canopi (the trading name of Sequential Advisors LLP, a limited liability partnership registered in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India — "Canopi", "we", "us") provides AI & automation-driven sales-technology services to businesses. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to www.canopi.one, to landing pages we operate on our own or our clients' domains, and to the data we process when we provide services to our business clients.
1. Who we process data for
We act in two capacities. For visitors to our own website, we are the data fiduciary (controller) of your data. For leads captured on landing pages we run on behalf of a business client (for example, a car dealership whose advertisement you clicked), we process your data primarily on that client's behalf and share it with them so they can respond to your enquiry — that client is responsible for how they use it after it reaches them.
2. What we collect
Information you give us
- Enquiry and lead details — name, phone number, email address, and anything you type into a form (for example, the car model you are interested in or a preferred time to be contacted).
- Business contact details — when you contact us as a prospective or existing client.
Information collected automatically
- Advertising click identifiers — when you arrive from an advertisement, the ad platform appends identifiers to the page address, such as Google's click ID (gclid) and Meta's click ID (fbclid), together with campaign parameters (for example the campaign, ad group or ad set, keyword, placement, device type and network).
- Usage and device data — pages viewed, approximate timing of visits, browser and device type, and performance measurements, collected via a short-lived session cookie and server logs.
3. How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry — leads are routed to the business you enquired with (and, where you use a WhatsApp or call button, to open that conversation).
- To show relevant page content — the identifiers above tell us which advertisement you clicked, so the page can show the offer that matches it.
- To measure advertising outcomes — when a business marks an enquiry as genuinely progressing (for example, a qualified lead or a completed purchase), we report that outcome back to the advertising platform the click came from — Google Ads (keyed on the gclid) or Meta (keyed on the fbclid) — so our clients' advertising optimises toward real outcomes rather than raw clicks. Negative dispositions are not reported.
- To operate, secure and improve our services — debugging, fraud prevention, and aggregate service analytics.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use lead data from one client to benefit another.
4. Cookies
Our landing pages set a single short-lived session cookie (expiring within 24 hours) used to recognise a returning visit within a session. We do not run third-party advertising cookies on our pages. Ad platforms may set their own cookies on their own properties before you reach us; those are governed by their policies.
5. Who we share data with
| Recipient | What and why |
|---|---|
| The business you enquired with | Your enquiry details, so they can respond to you. This is the purpose of the form you submitted. |
| Google (Google Ads) | Conversion outcomes keyed on the click identifier for the advertisement you clicked, and campaign data we access under our clients' authorisation via the Google Ads API. |
| Meta (Facebook / Instagram) | Conversion outcomes keyed on the click identifier, via Meta's Conversions API, under our clients' authorisation. |
| Service providers | Hosting, database, messaging (for example WhatsApp business messaging providers) and telephony vendors who process data for us under contract. |
| Authorities | Where required by applicable law or a valid legal process. |
6. Google API Services
Some of our services access Google user data (for example, Google Ads account data of clients who have authorised us) through Google APIs. Canopi's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular, we use Google user data only to provide and improve the authorising client's own service, we do not transfer it to third parties except as necessary to provide that service or as required by law, we do not use it for advertising unrelated to the authorising client, and we do not allow humans to read it except with the client's consent, for security purposes, or to comply with law.
7. Data retention and deletion
We keep lead and campaign data for as long as we provide services to the relevant client, and delete or irreversibly anonymise it when the client relationship ends or on the client's instruction. You may also ask us to delete your enquiry data directly (see Section 9). Server logs and diagnostics are kept for short, rolling periods.
8. Security
Data is stored with access controls and encryption in transit; API credentials are held server-side and never exposed to browsers. Each client's data is segregated so one client can never see another's. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data with measures appropriate to its sensitivity.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law — including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 — you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may withdraw consent to processing that is based on consent. Write to contact@canopi.one and we will respond within a reasonable period. If your data was collected for one of our clients, we may route or refer your request to them where they control it. You also have the right to raise a grievance with us and, if unresolved, with the Data Protection Board of India.
10. Children
Our services are directed at adults making commercial enquiries and are not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children; if you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. International processing
We are based in India. Our hosting and service providers may process data in other countries; where they do, we rely on their contractual commitments and applicable legal safeguards for such transfers.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new "last updated" date; material changes will be highlighted on this page.
